REY CAMPERO Madrecuishe

The Sanchez distillery is a small family business that has been established for over 150 years in Candelaria Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca. For four generations, the Sanchez maestro mezcaleros have succeeded one another from father to son, producing handcrafted mezcales of exceptional quality. Smaller in size and larger in diameter than the Cuishe agave, the Madre Cuishe (Cuishe mother) takes its name from the tradition of planting these agaves around the Espadin fields to protect them, as a mother would protect her children. It is generally found in high altitude areas with a more moderate climate than the Cuishe environment.
