Single Casks

Whatever their origins, most whiskies are the result of the blending of several dozen or even several hundred casks. Conversely, a single cask is a whisky from a single cask. They represent the quintessence of single malt. Sometimes created in limited editions by official distilleries, single casks are more often the expertise of independent bottlers such as Signatory Vintage, Gordon & MacPhail or Douglas Laing.
