Nose : fine, fleshy. Highly exotic (passion fruit, mango), the initial nose also emerges vanilla-scented and apricoty before a light woody smokiness floods the aromatic palette. Next come notes of dried fruit (almond, date, chestnut) in a testimony to the venerable age of this Reserve from the Landier family. It gradually becomes balsamic (cypress, eucalyptus)._x000D_

Palate : simultaneously firm and creamy. Vanilla pods rub shoulders with heady florals (broom, hyacinth) and herbs (camomile, sage). With intense freshness, the mid-palate reveals notes of white grape and white peach. The back of the palate is chocolatey, mentholated and roasted (tobacco, coffee). A handful of spices gradually make an appearance (nutmeg, cumin)._x000D_<br>_x000D_<br>_x000D_<br>_x000D_

Overall : long, distinguished. Expressing itself with as much fervour as ever, the vanilla shifts towards something more dessert-inspired (flan, eclair). It lingers on to notes of quince jelly and emery cloth. It emanates a wonderful feeling of fullness. The retro-nasal olfaction becomes increasingly medicinal (camphor, balm). The empty glass is characterised by notes of salted butter caramel and bourbon vanilla._x000D_
