With Spiriterie Française, the legendary Golden Promise barley variety is making a comeback in the whisky industry. Le Breuil 2020 is a complex whisky, featuring cereals, orchard fruit and vanilla, all wrapped up in a clean, medicinal peat.
Slightly Peated
Nose : Fresh and subtle. It reveals camphor and fruity notes (medlars and freshly peeled pears). Hints of malted barley mingle with spices (white pepper), as well as herbal accents of sap and eucalyptus coupled with a delicate smoke.
Palate : Round and ample. The attack offers notes of orchard fruit and vanilla before evolving towards spices (black pepper and timut berries). Medicinal, the whisky opens up with herbal and cereal aromas, while the peat is particularly oily and earthy.
Overall : Long and persistent. Peppery, menthol notes leave a refreshing impression on the palate.
