GLENDRONACH Traditionally Peated

This edition is a tribute from Dr Rachel Barrie, master blender at Glendronach, to the philosophy of the distillery's founder, James Allardice, who was born nearly two centuries ago. Back then, it was a tradition in the Highlands to burn peat at the end of the barley malting process, thereby adding earthy and smoky notes to the future single malt. Glendronach Traditionally Peated perfectly combines Highland robustness, the distillery's typical rich and full-bodied character, and an expressive peat. Aged in the highest quality casks containing Pedro Ximénez, Oloroso sherry and Porto wine, this expression offers hints of Highland toffee, molasses and smoky blackberries, enhanced by a long, rich and earthy finish. Like all Glendronach single malts, Traditionally Peated gets its natural colour from slow maturation in Spanish oak casks. _x000D_
