BEN NEVIS 27 ans 1996 Edition No.58b Decadent Drinks

This second edition of Whisky Sponge 58b is a second half of the Ben Nevis 27 yo 1996 58a, which was finished in a two-year old second-fill sherry cask. It was then bottled with a slight reduction to 55%. This Highland single malt reveals a powerful, smooth profile with aromas of pear, cinnamon and leather.

Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is its founder. His philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side is reflected both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings, which feature the sponge character in a variety of ways.
