The House of Bache-Gabrielsen is a family-owned cognac house founded in 1905, which promotes a transgenerational know-how, supported by an entire team. Originally designed for the Scandinavian markets, Bache-Gabrielsen cognacs have been attracting an increasingly international audience for several decades. The Bache-Gabrielsen cognac range offers an aromatic register between accuracy and balance with innovative and exceptional products such as the range of vintage cognacs. According to Hervé Bache-Gabrielsen, "this range highlights the years of ageing in barrels to demonstrate the real impact of oak on cognac".

In 1973, the Watergate scandal was in full swing in the United States, the first oil crisis hit the world and the heat wave raged in cognac in mid-August. Unperturbed, this vintage will have kept all its promises after spending 37 years in barrels. In 2011, the cellar master of the Bache-Gabrielsen house decided to transfer it into one of the house's Paradise dame-jeanne.
