A true tribute to the symbol of Wales (the dragon), Penderyn Legend is the ideal introduction to Wales and the one and only Welsh whisky distillery. Aged entirely in bourbon casks, this single malt has been aged in bourbon casks, this single malt has spent a few more months in Madeira casks, giving it soft, fruity notes. The red dragon, present in many folk tales, is also depicted on the national flag of Wales Y dddraig goch ddyry cychwy or "The red dragon inspires action".
Nestled near Brecon Beacons National Park, Penderyn brings together the unique distillation technique in Faraday stills and the art of maturation, expertise of Dr. Jim Swan. Since 2018, master distiller Aista Phillips has carried on Dr. Swan's legacy and the smooth, subtle style of Penderyn single malts.
