Former market gardeners, Clémence and Thierry Ogez, the founders of Arhumatic, don't just select fruit, aromatic plants and spices of impeccable quality. They also pay particular attention to the choice of rums, pure cane juice or molasses, to transcend their original recipes. Made from three-year-old Cuban old rum, infused with lime zest for three weeks and to which lime juice and mint have been added, this limited edition bottled at 26% abv is inspired by an iconic cocktail: the mojito. Freshly herbaceous and deliciously tangy, its aromatic palette and flavour are strongly reminiscent of a yellow chartreuse.

Nose : Fresh and dynamic. Closely linked, the scents of spearmint and lime immediately take over the entire olfactory space. On aeration, aromas of liquorice (stick), fresh coriander and sage gradually take centre stage.

Palate : Fresh and creamy. Exotic (persimmon, pineapple, green banana) and herbaceous (alfalfa, rosemary), the range of flavours also includes a delicious infusion of fresh mint. A few zests of lemon and a hint of cinnamon give it an invigorating finish.

Overall : Long and full of verve. Both tart (lime) and green (mint), it gradually reveals cane sugar flavours of great purity of expression. A long time later, almonds and green olives add an oily touch to the liquorish aftertaste.
