VXO is a blend of eaux-de-vies matured for seven to eight years in mainly American oak barrels then finished in ex-sherry barrels for several months. This meticulous blend and finish gives the rum an exceptionally smooth and unique character.
Nose : rich and gourmand, with notes of raisins, plum and salted butter caramel. It develops into ripe banana and vanilla.
Palate : slightly sweet, it is even more redolent of patisserie than the nose with aromas of orange chocolate, ginger cake and molasses.
Overall : long, with notes of fruit cake, vanilla and cloves.
