SPRINGBANK 26 ans 1998 1st Fill Sherry Butt Whiskyland Chapter One D.D.

When starting a new series, it's nice to get off to a good start. It was important for Angus to have an outstanding whisky for the first chapter of Whiskyland, especially as this series is set to become the flagship bottling series of the best whiskies the bottler can get his hands on. That's why Decadent Drinks decided to bottle this Springbank 1998 as the first chapter of Whiskyland. It has matured for 26 years in a first sherry cask and has been bottled at its natural strength.

Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. Its philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side is reflected both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings, which feature the sponge character in a wide variety of ways.
These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice, Equilibrium and NAS. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
