This bottling was distilled once in an armagnac still and created from an unusual batch of barrels made from 51% rye and 49% malted barley.
Although part of these casks were blended for the Cerealis range, one—in which only 45 litres remained—was bottled as a single cask.
Matured in a fine-grain oak cask, this rye is a true collector’s piece.
With remarkable depth and originality, the flavour and aroma palette is uncompromising and repeatedly shuns consensus.
Magnificently complex and the source of endless pleasure, it reveals abundant fruit and sophisticated notes of sandalwood and cocoa powder that awaken in the taster long-distant memories

Nose : rich, deep. Behind a lovely mineral reduction (schist, slate), the aroma palette reveals outstanding fruit and rancio notes (gooseberry, wild raspberry, brandied cherries, roasted mango, blood orange). These are accompanied by incense, beeswax and black truffle.

Appearance : cuivre orangé.

Palate : clean, dynamic. With an apricot and almost empyreumatic feel (kernel), the flavour palette brings closely intertwined notes of sandalwood, coriander and sun-dried tomato. This cohesion establishes outstanding balance. The finish is grainy (peach skin).

Overall : long, silky. The deeply expressive tasting continues with lyrically empyreumatic flavours (emery cloth, floating dust, cocoa powder). Red and black fruits (raspberry, strawberry, blackcurrant, grape) add incredible length and draw out the moving palette of flavours.
