Just like Rise, Timbre is one of the four in a series of limited-edition single malts from New Zealand distillery Scapegrace. Three years old, this whisky, made from New Zealand Lauerrate barley, reveals notes of roasted apples and plums, and evokes a delicious creamy dessert, with vanilla aromas characteristic of the Bulgarian oak cask in which it was aged.

Singular, yet stratified. A rhapsody of detail. Unorthodox and unique tones harmonised with the creamy whimsicality of Bulgarian oak.

Nose : The first nose reveals oat crackers, which develop into almost camphory notes of cedarwood and chicory. Then comes the sweetness of toffee and butterscotch, which is immediatly balanced out by the fruitiness of bergamot and lemon peel.<br>Oat crackers, fragrant cedarwood, almost camphory. Palate : Medium bodied, Timbre first expresses notes of toast and pastry alongside sweeter, fruitier notes of apples, cherries and apricot jam, finising on some grated coconut and white pepper.

Overall : Medium length, the finish sweetens with time as stewed fruits emerge, accompanied by fragrant clove.
