MACALLAN (The) Classic Cut Limited 2023 Edition

The seventh edition of the annual limited series, Classic Cut 2023 continues the brand's exploration of the flavours that can come from the exquisite union of ex-bourbon American oak casks and sherry-seasoned European oak casks.
This year's edition will highlight the different flavours that emerge when the whisky is tasted at full strength (50.3% ABV), as well as when it is 'reduced' with water to reach an alcohol content of 40%.
At full strength (50.3% ABV), pear is the main character to discover. When the whisky is 'reduced' to 40% alcohol, by adding water, flavours of almond biscotti appear.
This series of annual releases presents whiskies with a unique character, thanks to the profile of the casks selected. This demonstrates The Macallan's ongoing quest to find bold new flavours in the range with each release, offering a unique taste experience to be discovered each year.
