This Laphroaig has been aged for over 27 years in a first-fill bourbon cask, giving it powerful, peaty notes of burnt wood, fresh herbs and spices. A limited edition of 210 bottles.

Director's Special is the elixir of The Single Malts of Scotland range. Only the exceptional whiskies in the collection are selected by the Director of Elixir Distillers. Each bottling is aged to perfection, celebrating both the classic characteristics of the distillery and the subtle changes that have taken place.

The Single Malts of Scotland offers a range of superb vintage Scottish single malts. Each edition is carefully selected from Elixir Distillers casks from Scotland's six whisky-producing regions. Only casks deemed to have achieved the required quality and character will be bottled as The Single Malts of Scotland. To ensure that each of these whiskies retains its flavour and character, they are not chill-filtered and no colourings are added.
