EDDU Kejadenn

This limited edition of Eddu whisky, named "Kejadenn", the Breton translation of the word "encounter", is the result of a partnership between Distillerie des Menhirs in Brittany and Distillerie Montebello in Guadeloupe.

In 2022, the two distilleries came up with the idea of exchanging some of the casks used to age their spirits. In early 2023, Distillerie Montebello launched "La rencontre", a rum aged in Eddu buckwheat whisky barrels. In 2024, it was the Breton distillery's turn to release its expression aged in Montebello rum casks, a very different choice from the types of casks mostly used by the distillery.

A buckwheat whisky with an exotic, pastry-like profile, combining the fruity (hazelnut, almond, apple) and spicy (clove, white pepper) notes of the Eddu range with the sweet (tropical fruit, sugarcane, honey) and floral palette of Guadeloupe rum.

A remarkable union of unique and strong identities, terroirs and know-how, perfectly illustrated by the encounter, this time graphic, with Breton artist Etienne Péran, who signed the colorful and patterned label of this original whisky, depicting a traditional Guadeloupean canoe amidst menhirs and sugar canes.
