The Mont Blanc brewery-distillery in La Motte Servolex was founded by Sylvain Chiron in 1999. It draws its water from a spring at an altitude of 2,074 meters in the Aiguille du Goûter.

This version was made with two varieties of barley and one very old variety of wheat, and distilled in an armagnac still. It was aged first in a cognac cask, then in a bourbon cask, and finally finished in a vermouth cask. The lively palette of flavours and aromas reveals successive sequences of fruit, spices, milky tones and herbs which help sculpt its radiant and very open personality.

Nose : refined, distinguished. With pepper, vanilla, fruit (Mirabelle plum, yellow plum) and herbs (mint leaf), the aroma palette beams with light. Allowed to breathe, gentle powder aromas (ginger, rice) are expressed, alongside subtle medicinal notes and camphor.

Appearance : vieil or.

Palate : lively, dynamic. The flavour palette is centred on grains (barley, wheat) and yet at the same time milky (almond, fresh walnut). Tropical fruits then burst onto the scene (pineapple, banana, yellow kiwi).

Overall : long, smooth. Finding its fulcrum, the flavour palette is now rich (biscuit, porridge), with lemon and menthol. This slender profile wavers between dill, lemon tart and acacia honey. The retro-nasal olfaction brings notes of cough sweet and leather.
