CLYNELISH 28 ans 1995 Oloroso Sherry Butt Symington's Choice Signatory Vintage

Distilled in 1995, this Clynelish aged for 28 years before being bottled at 53.50%. This Speyside single malt is aged in oloroso sherry casks and has a deep, rich profile, with aromas of chocolate, liquorice and cardamom.

Located in the northern Highlands and rebuilt on its original site in 1967, Clynelish has since produced a fresh, fruity malt, much of which is used in Johnnie Walker blends. The original distillery was not demolished, but renamed Brora in 1969. It produced a powerful and very peaty Highland malt. The distillery closed in 1983 and its bottlings are particularly sought-after by collectors.

Signatory Vintage is unveiling a new series, ‘Symington's Choice’, which showcases the most exceptional casks from the Pitlochry cellars. This series is an opportunity for Andrew Symintgons to reaffirm the mastery of selection, maturation and richness of Pitlochry casks.
