BURNSIDE 31 ans "Sideburn" Whisky Sponge No.95 Decadent Drinks

Burnside blended malt, made by William Grant & Sons, is now known as ‘Sideburn’ at Decadent Drinks. This is a small-batch, multi-vintage 30-year-old single malt, from a 1992 second-fill cask and a 1993 first-fill cask, bottled at cask strength. It's a stunning, perfectly ripe honey and fruit bomb, tasting exactly what you'd expect from a top-class 30-year-old Speyside malt whisky.

Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. Its philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side is reflected both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings, which feature the sponge character in a variety of situations. These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice and Equilibrium. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
