Distilled in a small roasting house in the Jura region of France, this single malt was made with one of the last fully functioning Blavier stills.
These stills, which were particularly popular in the early 20th century for the incredibly elegant and sophisticated distillate they produce, have almost completely disappeared from the French countryside today.
This truly outstanding bottling draws unmistakable parallels with the Blavier 2003 Vin Jaune cask featured in our New Vibrations Creation Catalogue.
Matured in a Macvin cask and finished for a short period in a bourbon cask, it beams with maturity and is seeped in enthralling floral and spicy tones.

Nose : rich, complex. The aromatic palette is extroverted (crème brûlée, brandied cherries, candied apricot), fleshy (peach, candied orange), tertiary (date, chestnut), honeyed (lime blossom) and heady (rose poivrée, hyacinth), and stands out for its depth and class.

Appearance : cuivre orangé soutenu.

Palate : svelte, lively. Orange zest, dried apricot, rose petal and Turkish delight blow an Oriental breeze through the flavour palette. The very distinguished palate then becomes increasingly heady (honeysuckle, lily, wild geranium).

Overall : long, well-balanced. Wonderfully summarizing the nose and palate, the finish takes on a powdery dimension (cinnamon, ginger) and reveals delicious chocolate notes. With infused teas (latte) and spices (cardamom), the after-taste is like chewing on a liquorice stick.
