The small capacity of these casks, around 60 litres, increases the influence of the wood on the whisky. Intensely sherried, Darkness impresses with its very sweet, fruity and spicy aromas. An original whisky with a complex and remarkable character.
Nose : Nutty, oat biscuits, hedgerow fruits, coffee grounds, and a softly earthy malt.
Palate : Juicy plums, figs, and milk chocolate hobnobs. That soft malty note continues.
Overall : Long, with sweet fruits, and a hint of wood char.
