BENROMACH 2014 Aged 10 Years ARTIST #14 Benromach

Founded in 1898, the Benromach distillery closed before it even opened its doors, one of its two owners having gone bankrupt following the bankruptcy of the Pattison brothers. It was not until 1909 that the stills were operational. Bought by Harvey MacNair in 1911 and then by a consortium called Benromach Distillers Ltd in 1919, it was mothballed from 1931 to 1937. It became the property of the National Distillery of America and then, in 1953, of the Distillers Company Ltd, before being dismantled in 1983. This version opens the doors of the Benromach universe wide and naturally. Verdant, delicately peaty and deliciously gourmand, its aromatic and taste palette brilliantly cultivates the sovereign art of the unexpected.
