BENROMACH 2002 Aged 22 Years ARTIST #14 Benromach

Equipped with thirteen larch wood washbacks, a wash still manually adjusted by the master distiller and a spirit still, both fitted with straight swan necks and external condensers, the Benromach distillery produces 400,000 litres of alcohol a year, including 10,000 litres of a very peaty distillate. It has six dunnages and a racked warehouse that can hold up to 30,000 casks. Magnificent in its presence, this version is resplendent with maturity, complexity and nobility of expression. Airy yet highly concentrated, its range of aromas and flavours constantly pushes back the boundaries of tasting, as do the dry extracts in the empty glass from which exquisite scents of tangerine and sandalwood emerge.
