BENRINNES 26 ans 1997 1st fill Sherry Hogshead Symington's Choice Signatory Vintage

This Benrinnes, distilled in 1997, was aged for 27 years in first-fill Sherry casks before being bottled at its natural alcohol content of 55.30%. This Speyside single malt offers a fruity, gourmet profile, with notes of oranges, caramel and spices.

Though confidential, Benrinnes is well known to connoisseurs. Its tumultuous history is a succession of rebuilds and changes of ownership before finding some stability in 1925 thanks to DCL, the Distillers Company Limited. This distillery, which had its own "saladin box" for malting barley until 1984, is also distinguished by an unconventional distillation method based on "partial triple distillation".

Signatory Vintage unveils a new series, "Symington's Choice", showcasing the most exceptional casks from the Pitlochry cellars. This series is an opportunity for Andrew Symintgons to reaffirm the mastery of selection, maturation and richness of Pitlochry casks.
