With its know-how and history spanning more than a century, the Warenghem distillery is proud to be one of the first in France to present a 15
whisky.
A pioneer in French and Breton whisky, this Armorik vintage is one of the oldest offered by the distillery, and bears the full influence of over 30 years' distilling expertise.
This Armorik Single Malt 15 Year Old Edition 2024 is the fruit of a masterly effort by cellar master Erwan Lefebvre. The blend appears as a photograph of the cellar's composition: whiskies aged 15 years and over, with eclectic maturations (Bourbon casks, STR Vinho casks, Sherry Refill casks, Spanish 1st Fill oak casks). Each of the casks has been mutually tamed and complemented to create a unique blend, where the whole is greater than the sum of its parts.
A whisky with the patina of time. The fruity character of Armorik is rediscovered here with more exoticism, more candied and riper. Remarkably supple, the buttery notes emerge against a backdrop of spices and smoky notes.

Nose : Intensely fruity and exotic, the first nose is driven by notes of pineapple, mango and ripe melon. On aeration, the Breton roots resurface (they're never far away at Armorik) with buttery, lightly toasted notes (buttered toast). With great depth, the nose remains fresh (hint of pepper) and recalls the Armoriks of yesteryear, with a slightly smoky background punctuated by notes of leather.
Appearance : Ambré.
Palate : The attack is supple and comfortable, gourmand (ripe fruit, peach jam, quince, honey) and fresh (lemon). The warmth of the alcohol adds character and structure, leading to a spicy, tobacco finish.
Overall : The finish is in retrospect: ripe exotic fruit (mango) and spices (pepper). The 15 years of ageing have patinated and enriched the distillery's already lenghty and fruity signature distillate.
