NUSBAUMER New Make Malt Bio Antipodes

Nose : Fresh and balanced. Pleasantly smooth, the first nose reveals remarkably harmonious malt and fruit aromas (apricot, wild strawberry). Halfway between the worlds of whisky and white spirits, the aromatic palette continues with floral notes (carnation) and root notes (ginger). The olfactory sequence evolves towards gourmand scents of porridge and biscuit.

Appearance : incolore

Palate : Both full-bodied and taut. Picking up where the tasting left off with notes of ginger, the attack on the palate also offers superb herbaceous (green barley), lemony and spicy (saffron, cinnamon) notes. The lively mid-palate reveals a wealth of white fruit (pear, apple, mirabelle plum). The particularly harmonious texture on the palate is a subtle blend of acidulous juice and downy softness (fruit peel).

Overall : Long and full. Having found the perfect balance between fruity tones and malty flavours, the start of the finish of this new make shows an absolutely remarkable maturity of expression. The smooth aftertaste oscillates between a pleasant planty freshness, juicy fruitiness and cereal notes. The retro olfaction gives reason to one fruit: pear. The empty glass is intensely malty.
