TOMITA Maaransen

Tomita is the smallest kokuto shochu (sugarcane) distillery on Amami Island. Since its foundation in 1951, it has been making shochu with great attention to the entire jar fermentation process, resulting in minerality, roundness and a sharp finish.

Cuvée Maaransen from the Tomita distillery is made from Amami cane sugar from Tokunoshima, Kagoshima prefecture. On the nose, distinctive notes of green sugar cane emerge. On the palate, sweetness emerges with floral and iodine notes.
