ARRAN 1999 15 years Anniversary Bottling

Single malt from the Arran distillery, distilled in 1999, matured in amontillado casks and bottled in 2010 for the distillery's 15th anniversary. On November 11, 1991, Isle of Arran joined the very select circle of independent Scottish distilleries. Founded on the initiative of Harold Currie, former Director of Chivas and House of Campbell, the distillery went into production at the end of June 1995, putting an end to over 150 years' absence of whisky production on the island. At the end of 1998, the distillery launched its first limited edition malt (1,000 worldwide), a 60.3% cask strength version of Arran 1995. In 1999, the classic 43% version was introduced in a limited number of markets. It wasn't until 2002 that the first vintage 1995 and 1997 single casks appeared on the market, revealing the bold, willful character of the distillery's owners, who refuse nothing when it comes to maturation: port, calvados, cognac, rum and more. In 2019, Isle of Arran celebrated its double majority with an Arran 18yo and an Arran 21yo. Limited edition of 5460 bottles.
