Making whisky requires good quality cold water, clear air and moderate moisture. Yuza is blessed with Mt. Chokai’s stream and fresh, clean air.
The Second Edition of the Cask Strength Series is finally here, with at its heart the «Fertility of Autumn» in Yamagata, renown for its fruit orchards. A complex, deep and elegant whisky, who shines through by its exceptional quality!
Slightly Peated
Nose : Powerful, it opens up on notes of dried fruits, followed by the exuberant, treacly and juicy aromas of Fuji apple, Shanghai peach, Claude Blanchet pear and Kariya pears.
Appearance : Ambre.
Palate : A smooth and creamy texture coats the palate, revealing the abundance of orchard fruits, yet with a firm body and presence. Sweet vanilla and a hint of peat bring a nice kick.
Overall : A mellow fruitiness lingers on the palate, calling for the next sip.
