Islands have always fascinated mankind. Whether deserted or paradise-like, the island evokes the terra incognita of the first explorers or Robinson Crusoe's little corner of paradise. It can also be the dream holiday haven or the ideal setting for a pirate novel. But the island also fascinates for its mysterious and inaccessible side. And the spirits that come from these pieces of land lost (or not) in the middle of the ocean have an island character all their own. This insularity (or rather singularity) is as much real as it is imagined, as much claimed as claimed. And yet... With a spirit produced on an island, whether it's rum, whisky or cognac, the magic always happens. It's as if with each tasting, with each sip, we rediscover the promise of the island. Its treasure.
