Nose : Ethereal, noble. On the first nose, truffle notes literally surge from the glass. Allowed to breathe, this earthy sensation intensifies, marked by superb autumnal (dried leaves, prune, pipe tobacco) and chocolatey tones. The aroma palette is punctuated by an original and sunny fruit-forward register (walnut, guava, grape, lemon).

Appearance : Cuivre orangé.

Palate : Radiant, delicate. The attack releases flavours of salted butter caramel and fruit paste (orange, apricot). The mid-palate also becomes chocolatey (ganache) and empyreumatic (soot, burnt wood). The powdery end of the palate (gentian, iris butter) is noble.

Overall : Long, stately. The start of the finish is liquoricey, medicinal (mustard), oxidative (sun-dried grapes) and menthol. In the after-taste, notes of saffron, wildflower (dandelion), verbena and sandalwood underscore the flavour palette’s radiant beauty.
