STARWARD Botrytis Cask Limited Edition

The newest release from our Starward Projects, a program which is home to some of our most exciting, limited releases showcasing unique expressions#P,& Starward Botrytis Cask.
We’ve dabbled in dessert wine barrels and their luscious, intriguing notes (remember the toasted marshmallow and cola notes from Dolce?!). This next release lays claim to one of our most interesting wine styles we’ve released yet. Botrytis, also known as Noble Rot, is a famous style of wine with ancient origins dating back to 1526 Austria.
Botrytis has always been one of the more interesting wine stories. The nature of how semillon grapes become botrytis affected, the resulting smaller yields, and the care and skill required to produce a wine with them means that the final product is quite rare. Taking this influence into our whisky has resulted into an intriguingly beautiful and balanced whisky. A whisky that has the intense dessert notes of apricot danish and orange blossom balanced by the savoury barrel influence. Long and lingering, just as you want it to be.
The modern design captures our innovation platform through an energetic illustration, vibrant flavour note colour palette and melding graphic symbols to evoke curiosity and discovery into the delicious world of Starward whisky.
