The Sanchez distillery is a small family-owned business that has been established for over 150 years in Candelaria Yegolé, a village in the state of Oaxaca. For four generations, the Sanchez maestro mezcaleros have succeeded one another from father to son to produce exceptional artisanal mezcals of outstanding quality. Agave Jabali is a wild agave species very present in the "Sierra Sur" of the state of Oaxaca, where it takes up to 15 years to reach maturity under a dry climate. Its fibers are used by certain communities to make ropes, commonly called "Jabalinas".
