The Renegade rum distillery: a modern marvel designed with precision to exalt the individuality of the terroirs, the purity of prolonged fermentation, and thoughtful, rigorous distillation.
On the south-east side of the island, sheltered from the Atlantic trade winds and protected by a narrow belt of mangroves, lies this special terroir.
The iron-red clay, rich soil and cool water table ensure a humid microclimate with lush sugar cane in the driest season. For this rum, we harvested the oldest of our varieties, cain, in the mamo field, on the terroir known as Boulders.
