POPIHN Icauneipa Unitaire

The whole world has been asking for it, and Arnaud Popihn has delivered it: the first permanent New England IPA from the Popihn farm-brewery in Burgundy, simply named Icauneipa, in homage to its big sister Icauna, the American Pale Ale that needs no introduction.
The Cryo Pop, Simcoe and Talus hops, used in a simple dry-hopping process (DH) for more lightness than in the DDHs of the short-lived versions, give the whole a lovely fruity, even tropical (pineapple) profile, and a few grassy notes. Silky and full-bodied due to the presence of oats and wheat, the palate has pronounced citrus notes (grapefruit) and a lovely finish that is sweet, fresh and herbaceous.
All in all, this is an extremely accessible NEIPA, with its low alcohol content, aromatic freshness and great drinkability, which should make people happy.
