PENNY BLUE XO Batch #9

Penny Blue XO is a Single Estate rum from Mauritius. Its name refers to the rarest stamp in the world.

Produced at the Medine distillery, this limited edition rum is made from molasses fermented for 48 hours and distilled in a column under the expert eye of Jean-François Koenig, the master distiller with over 30 years' experience. Aged for between 6 and 8 years in ex-cognac, whisky and Sauternes casks, it develops a unique profile, enriched by the island's tropical climate.

Penny Blue XO #9 reveals aromas of ripe fruit, accompanied by a delicate fragrance of jam, cocoa and toasted nuts. On the palate, it is rich and round, with subtle notes of fruit and oak giving it a balanced structure.
