KYRO Peat Smoke Malt Rye

Set in the heart of the picturesque Finnish village of Isokyrö, in a renovated former dairy farm, the adventure of the Kyrö distillery has its roots in the warm atmosphere of a sauna. Five friends, gathered around a glass of Rye Whiskey, imagined this bold distillery, where every gin, liqueur and whiskey is meticulously crafted from Finnish whole rye.

It was in this creative spirit that Kyrö Peat Smoke took shape. This peated rye whiskey, distilled from rye, has been aged for at least two years in new American oak casks. Barn-smoked malt and Finnish freshwater peat enrich the product's character, adding a light vanilla note and waxy smoke. On tasting, Kyrö Peat Smoke reveals nuances of baking spice, smoke and fruit, evolving into the subtle sweetness of oak and rye bread.
