Made from water sourced from the Hsuehshan (“Snowy Mountains”) mountains, Kavalan Sherry is a single malt from the Solist range, a collection of the distillery’s very best cask strength bottlings. Aged in oloroso sherry barrels, hand-bottled, undiluted, caramel-free and non-chill filtered, this is a rich, exotic and complex whisky that has already been voted the Best Rest of the World Single Malt at the World Whisky Awards 2011.
Nose : complex, clean and rich. Characterised by notes of dried fruits, walnuts and spices, it also reveals notes of vanilla and marzipan.
Appearance : Rouge profond.
Palate : rich and oily, characterised by notes of dried fruits and spices with a splash of black coffee.
