JOS'BERRI Gin Bio

By developing the JOS'BERRI Gin recipe in an organic variety, the distillery's teams are once again affirming their commitment to sustainable, responsible distillation. Given our close ties with nature and our mountain environment, it's only natural that we should take the first step towards organic distillation for the flagship product in our botanical range. In creating this organic mountain gin, the teams at the JOS NUSBAUMER artisan distillery have set themselves apart by paying homage to its founder, JOSEPH NUSBAUMER, an artisan distiller and lover of his region's biodiversity. JOS'BERRI BIO ("JOSEPH's mountain" in Alsatian) illustrates the convergence of his two passions: plants and distillation. This artisanal gin is made by maceration and distillation of plants - botanicals, wild berries and spices - all certified organic. Produced in small batches, it is distilled using traditional methods in our four copper stills on a base of organic surfin alcohol. This rigorous selection of botanicals and the purity of the Vosges spring waters - combined with precise know-how and demanding high-altitude distillation principles - give JOS'BERRI ORGANIC Gin a vegetal, resinous and herbaceous character, singular and characteristic of the region's mid-mountain botanicals.
