ISAUTIER 15 ans 2004 Louis et Charles Batch #2

Distilled in 2004, Louis & Charles is a fresh, fruity rum that sublimates a Maison Isautier know-how rare in the world: the mastery of distilling both molasses rum and agricultural rum.
It's a blend of traditional 15-year-old rhum vieux and 15-year-old rhum agricole, aged in fine-grained French ex-Cognac oak barrels, specially selected to gently extract the tannins from the oak, which slowly melt into the rum.
The nose is initially sweet, minty, woody and spicy. On aeration, notes of waxed wood emerge. The palate is supple and delicate. Notes follow one another: fruity, sweet, then woody, then very fresh. The finish is very long and fresh, with notes of strong coffee.
This cuvée pays tribute to the founders of Maison Isautier, the brothers Louis and Charles Isautier, who arrived on Reunion Island in the early 19th century driven by a thirst for adventure.
An edition limited to 1483 bottles in France.
