The adventure was born in 2011 when Fabrice (a Breton turned Levalloisian) and Anthony (an American turned Parisian), both passionate about craft beers, met. A former office converted into a small brewhouse enabled them to perfect their apprenticeship, develop their recipes and market the first beers in a range that is precise, cutting-edge, always well-balanced and widely rewarded. Today, the Brasserie du Grand Paris, based in Saint-Denis, is considered one of the most influential breweries in the world of craft beer in France.

Porte Dorée owes its amber-red colour to a blend of five malts. Flavours of bread and caramel combine with spicy and lemony notes to create this complex, well-balanced beer. Its name is a tribute to San Francisco, and to the Golden Gate Bridge, which the team has often crossed.
