Blended from whisky from five of the most renowned distilleries in Japan, Scotland, Ireland, Canada and the United States, Ao, which means blue in Japanese, is named after the oceans that link the distilleries together. With notes of vanilla, tropical fruit and cinnamon, it is the fermentation and distillation processes and the distinctive climate of each region that give the whisky its unique taste.

Shinji Fukuyo, who represents the fifth generation of master blenders at Suntory, selected each liquid based on Suntory's world-renowned monozukuri, a Japanese craft that promotes a constant quest for perfection, attention to detail and quality. Drawing on Suntory's history of craftsmanship, this innovative, premium whisky blend embodies the spirit of Suntory and pays homage to the liquid's long history.
