GLENFIDDICH Orchard Experiment

Glenfiddich Orchard Experiment is the 5th edition of the Experimental Series. The story began a few years ago when Brian Kinsman, the cellar master, met the Temperley family in the South West of England, the producers of a sweet liqueur, Somerset Pomona.
Somerset Pomona is a digestif made from a secret blend of fresh apple juice and apple brandy, matured in casks for two years and is 20 proof.
To create Glenfiddich Orchard, Brian Kinsman decided to recover some of the casks used in the maturation of "Somerset Pomona" to refine his whiskies. Orchard is therefore the result of an ageing in traditional oak casks (ex bourbon) and a second maturation or refining in "Somerset Pomona" casks for 4 months which gives a smooth and fruity whisky.
