Glen Garioch and Sherry wood are one of the best pairings in the whisky world - which is why this robust malt has spent the last two years muscling up in a first-fill ex-sherry cask. The bouquet is dark chocolate and tea leaves, with notes of prune cake and spiced raisins emerging over time. This single malt has incredible body and the palate is particularly thick, with dried fruits, wood smoke, brambles and oak spices demanding your full attention. The finish is long, with a perfect balance of fruit, spice, smoke and sherry wood. It's a perfect marriage of wood and distillate.
