Founded in 1942 by Don Julio Gonzales - the legendary man with the hat - Don Julio has been distilling 100% agave tequila since 1949. In 2002, for its sixtieth anniversary, Don Julio 1942 was born, a first-rate extra-anejo tequila. In addition to a selection of the finest blue agave, Don Julio 1942 is aged for over two years in bourbon casks. With rich notes of candied cherries and nuts on the nose, generous tropical fruit and spice on the palate, and a subtle woody vanilla finish, Don Julio 1942 offers a luxurious and refined tasting experience to be discovered in this magnum bottling.

Nose : Sweet aromas of caramelized cherries, walnuts, almonds and chocolate. Cinnamon, oak and vanilla follow.

Appearance : Légèrement ambrée avec des reflets dorés, riches et profonds.

Palate : Silky, balanced aromas of cooked agave, vanilla, dried tropical fruit and spices.

Overall : Sweet agave aromas with hints of oak and vanilla. Rich, smooth body.
