Silver Seal was founded by Ernesto Mainardi in 2000. It was Mainardi's second bottling company after the esteemed Sestante founded in 1979. Both companies were sold to Massimo Righi, owner of Whisky Antique, in 2010. Silver Seal brings together all the richness of the best Scottish nectars, as well as many Caribbean rums selected with the highest precision and highly prized by connoisseurs.
Nose : The nose opens with powerful notes of molasses and roasting. This is followed by aromas of ripe tropical fruit, pineapple and banana.
Palate : On the palate, delicate aromas of burnt caramel, dried fruit and melted wood reveal a rich, powerful complexity.
Overall : The finish is marked by cocoa and coffee, with lovely bitter notes. Sweet spices, tropical fruit and cocoa are the strong markers.
