BUNNAHABHAIN STAOISHA 9 ans 2014 Very Cloudy Signatory Vintage

From 1963 to 1997, the Bunnahabhain distillery produced an unpeated single malt. Since then, it has made up for lost time, as demonstrated by this Staoisha 2013 version, a worthy representative of the Islay whiskies famous for their highly peated profiles. By turns mellow, camphorated, herbal, medicinal, oily, chocolatey, iodised, smoky, ashy, gamey and even fruity, the peat is omnipresent. Like The Un-Chillfiltered Collection, the whiskies in the Very Cloudy range are bottled in small batches of two to five casks. Reduced to 40% without chill filtration or colouring, they have a rich, highly aromatic profile and a slightly cloudy appearance.
