BUNNAHABHAIN 11 ans 2013 Equinox & Solstice Winter Decadent Drinks

This 11-year-old Bunnahabhain distilled in 2013 combines a first-fill Oloroso sherry hogshead cask containing lightly peated Bunnahabhain, with a first-fill Pedro Ximénez sherry hogshead cask containing strongly peated Staoisha Bunnahabhain. This blend was left to rest for a few months, before being bottled at this series' characteristic 48.5% proof, ideal for easy tasting.
This is a full-bodied, rich, velvety and generously peated Bunnahabhain, filled with comforting smoky warmth and endowed with a nicely assertive, salty sherry character.


Decadent Drinks is an independent bottler of whisky and other spirits. Angus MacRaild - also author of the WhiskySponge blog - is the founder. His philosophy is quality, fun and not taking life too seriously. This quirky side is reflected both in his blog and on the labels of his bottlings, which feature the sponge character in a variety of ways.
These bottlings, mostly single casks, are divided into different brands such as the Spongeverse, Equinox & Solstice, Equilibrium and NAS. The Spongeverse includes WhiskySponge, RumSponge, CognacSponge, ArmagnacSponge and WineSponge.
