Abbaye de Saint Bon-Chien is a cult sour beer, the one that forged the legend of the Brasserie des Franches-Montagnes around the world by being voted "Best Barley Wine in the World" by the New York Times in 2009. This exceptional mixed-fermentation beer is aged for 18 months in oak barrels that have been used for red wines. This time in the barrel gives the beer an amber red colour and, through the action of the yeasts and bacteria in the wood, a vinous and acidic profile with intense animal, spicy and balsamic notes, evolving from the nose to the finish. A brightly acidic beer of incredible complexity, for lovers of extreme sensations and gourmets.
