Want to discover the true history of Navy Rum? Then this 5cl bottle is for you. On 31 July 1970, a 300-year-old custom came to an end. On that day, the very last ration of rum was served to the sailors on board the ships of the Royal Navy. Known as 'Black Tot Day', it will forever be remembered. This Last Consignment, distilled in pot stills and bottled at natural proof, is the result of blending rums produced in the 1940s in the British colonies (Barbados, Jamaica, Guyana and Trinidad). Preserved in stone jars since December 1970, under customs control, it was unveiled on 31 July 2010. The empty glass alone takes us back in time aboard HMS Bermuda, one of these ships.
